* The painter Katerina Mourouzi Markou was born in Chalkida, where she lives and works. She enjoys traveling everywhere. As a child, Katerina had many interests such as : reading, walking, swimming, mountain skiing, horseback riding and much more. But painting is her favorite activity!!
She also has a talent and love for the arts the led her to study at the Athens School of Fine Arts. She loved finding new and different techniques while working as an art teacher in Greek schools…with many exhibitions in Greece and California, USA, etc..
Her unique works are in museums and private collections world wide. She is published in national and foreign magazines, on television, radio, encyclopedias and many other volumes. Many famous art historians have written about her art. Such as:
** Historian-curator of the National Gallery, Manos Stefanidis, wrote: “Katerina Markou’s painting certifies her high level and the remarkable evolution of ,her creative pursuits with her own remarkable styles! The right sense of color led her ther creative pursuitso intense wonderful results…!"'
